Halloween

I know we are approaching Thansgiving, but I wanted to put these few photos of Halloween up on the blog. Here is Doob and Monet next to our Jack-o-lantern. I am below with the baby touching her first Halloween Jack-o-lantern.


















When we were at Aunt Kate and Uncle Scott's Monet and Brulee took a bath together in the sink and then Monet decided to try out Uncle Scott's captain Hook costume. Too funny!!!


 

Finally it fits!!!!

I bought this tie-dyed onsie YEARS ago and finally it fits my daughter. Besides turning her neck blue it is definatly now a favorite outfit!!
 

Wedding Photos

Okay here are a few more photos of our trip south. This photo, left to right, is Jeanne Nowlan, Dan and Anne Murphey, Me, Christine Murphey and Monet. The Murphey's are Jeann'e relatives. And Anne and Dan actually live in Fort Myers. Christine lives in New Orleans.

Nowlan's Hit South Carolina

We spent the weekend at Myrtle Beach, SC for Doob's cousin's, Mike, wedding. It was nice to see some relatives we don't get to see very often and showing off our daughter of course.

The rehersal dinner was at a Thai resturant and Monet and I are ready to go in the photo below. She had pears, but Doob and I enjoyed pineapple fried rice and coconut ice cream!




















We spent a few minutes on the beach on Friday. Just Monet and I, as daddy was playing golf. It as COLD and windy, but we just pretended that it was 80 and we had our bathing suits on.















Here is the bride and groom with Doob at the rehersal dinner. This is not what she wore at the wedding believe it or not, this was traditional Thai wedding attire they wore for this night only.

Monet & Doob couldn't take the post game blue s and decided to just take a short nap!
 

Dinner-time at the Nowlan's

Monet wears her pureed prunes and sweet potatoes well, huh? She also loves listening to me play the djembe. She is a music kinda gal!!
 

Nanny arrives with new Saucer!

Well it took Nanny and Doobie to put this new exer saucer together for Miss Monet, but they managed and yes she likes it. I think she may have been a bit over stimulated the first go around, but I'm sure she will get used to it. We just need to find a place for it when she is not in it!!

 

Monet in the Autumn Air

Monet and I helped Doob with some yardwork yesterday and the light coming over the mountain was just so beautiful. I caught the last few rays of light with these photos before the full Harvest Moon came up in the East. What a beautiful night!

She slides...SHE"S SAFE!!!!

Monet has just been terribly excited about the Baseball playoff race! She couldnt help but work on her "Head-First" slide!

 

Monet Goes to the Fair

The title of this blog entry sounds like a children's book! Anyway, the fair was so much fun and Monet really liked the animals. She touched the cows and Doob alomst had her touching a draft horse, but Aunt Kate and I decided that wasn't the best idea. :)
This is her on a 750lbs pumpkin!














We had a fun time haning by the sheep barn for over an hour doing some serious people watching and wishing they had large screens where they would show the pig scramble!!  

Christmas a little early and Monet gets SOLIDS!

This outfit was too cute not to have on Miss Monet, eventhough Christmas is a few months away...and besides she will not fit in it then!

We also had an exciting stepping stone last night when she had her first meal of rice cereal and breastmilk. She was a true fan and if she had just a little bit more coordination she would have taken the spoon and fed herself! We unfortunaley are saying goodbye to breastmilk only diapers! :(
 

Apple Picking with Monet

We took Monet apple picking on Saturday. It was such a beautful fall day and we just couldn't resist breaking a few rules in the orchard.

Monet did share an apple with us by just licking a bit of the juice....just a quick taste of the good stuff to come. 

Monet the new sports fanatic

Monet is all dressed up in her Phillies onsie with a skirt and her Eagles socks. Uncle Pete is setting her up to be a Philly sports fan one way or another.
















Then Monet and I were sleeping late and then waking up when dad thought it would be funny to take our photo. Please excuse out hair! :)
 

Kinnick is home in Iowa!

The night before the unvieling we were actually able to get in to the stadium to see the field and see where we were watch the game!

The crowd adored their Nile statue and I wonder how many photos now exisit of the big guy!
















Miss Monet had a great time at her father's unveiling...here we are in the club lounge of the stadium after the unvieling. What a wonderful weekend!!!
