Buy from Local Markets and Framers!!

Check out this great website about locally grown food. You can use their easy to use map to locate farmers' markets, resturatnts, or farms. This time of year is the best time to get out there and search out food grown by your neighbors, rather then stuff imported from other countries or stuff grown with chemicals & hormones!

http://www.localharvest.org/ - "The freshest, healthiest, most flavorful organic food is what's grown closest to you. Use our website to find farmers' markets, family farms, and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area, where you can buy produce, grass-fed meats, and many other goodies."

what a great resource...already signed up Kate's Registered Clun Forest Sheep & Free Range Cage Free Brown Chicken Eggs on Lilac Acres...

like the CSA, (for Community Supported Agriculture) where a farm can offer produce subscriptions, where buyers receive a weekly or monthly basket of produce, flowers, fruits, eggs, milk, coffee, or any sort of different farm products...very cool idea!!!

that way Kate can take advantage of supporting her hobby by selling dense Clun Forest wool, organic brown chicken eggs, Llama Fiber, >Registered Clun Forest Lambs and stock dog trained sheep.

Also Katie offers Equestrian Instruction and Natural Horsemanship, along with stock dog training. Check out the latest listing on localharvest.com source for local farm connection

i couldn't agree with you more...we lost both of ours in northwood now that Hannaford came to town...first it was Anthony's, then it was Harvey Lake...that's not mentioning all the earlier ones that disappeared before my time...
