Painting Update

Doobie started getting the yellow on tonight and I had to post! It really makes the place look different and Monet told Dada Doob "Ohh pretty yellow Dada!"

Doob is putting in 13 hour days when he paints and oh how I wish I could help! But pregnant ladies should stay away from paint so I am being a supportive standby with ice tea and peanuts.

Story Land

We took a break from our ever looming house projects and drove the Kangamangus Hwy to North Conway for Saturday night. The main reason for the drive was to take Monet to Story Land. She was a perfect age to go, however, we had as much fun as she did! Even though as a pregnant lady I was allowed on some rides and Doob admits to not being a fan of spinny ones! We were contently aware of the fact that were a family of three and enjoyed our time together and the reality of just a single stroller, one little body to keep hydrated an fed and one bottom to successfully make it to the potty in time (Which we did!!! No more diapers for Miss Monet!!!!).

Yes she is screaming with delight!

I was surprised she went into this ball pit!!! She just took off her shoes and walked straight down the ramp....I stood at the gate ready to jump in at any moment to rescue her for the first few minutes, but then did relax and walk around for a different look.

These tricky swan boats were NOT easy to stear, but we did manage to get in camera view a few times. And all Monet wanted to do was go swimming!

Here we are on a little ferris wheel shaped like a hot air balloon....I just love her face!

And this is Heidi's grandfather's cabin, which I visited as a kid. There are many new features to Story Land, but there is plenty of the old charm still left.

The painting has begun!

Well we were finally able to make our tough decision on what color to paint our house! Boy-oh-Boy that was a much harder decision then we had imagined. But we choose yellow, white, & green. Here is a link that virtually shows you the colors...and they of course look a little different in person.

Here is Doob getting started with the white trim.

Visit with the Junkins

Kate and I, along with our girls, went up to Lincoln, NH to visit with the Junkins who are there on vacation. It was a beautiful sunny day in the White Mountains and we enjoyed just visiting and playing with Monet and Louisa.

All that swimming called for a later afternoon snack for Louisa. She is a fan of Key Lime yogurt!!
Monet and Louisa love seeing each other and don't really fight over possessions until they both get tired and are ready for a nap. :) They are such a joy to be around.
