Baby Food and Half a cake

Baby Teelin has reached the exciting 6 month mark and this means a couple things. One, I started making homemade baby food again and doing so reminded me how much I enjoy the process. There is just something about making homemade organic pureed fruits & veggies (and other yummy things in the coming months) for my babies that stirs good feelings inside me. As you can see Monet jumped into the process and helped clean out the sweet potatoes from the mini food processor for me. Teelin TASTED the puree. He really didn't EAT it. He is more into playing and gnawing on the spoon. Still getting his daily meals from Mamma.

Two, we stole an idea from friends Michelle and Poncho and celebrated Teelin's half-year Birthday with a half of an Angel Food Cake. We sang and let Monet blow out a half of a candle. Teelin didn't get any of the cake, strawberries or whipped cream. This treat was for Mommy, Daddy and Monet....we have all been working hard and are still adjusting to our new adorable family member and I thought we could all use a summery treat.

Happy six months old Teelin! It occurred on Ethan's 3 year old birthday-you are all growing so fast.

And I have to give credit for that idea to my friend Shawn, she actually gave Maria half of a birthday cake-the other half was for her daughter who's one day older.
